Orthopedic Nursing

Orthopedic Nursing involves the care of patients with musculoskeletal disorders, such as fractures, arthritis, and spinal injuries. Orthopedic nurses work in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and orthopedic clinics, providing pre- and post-operative care, pain management, and physical therapy. They assist in surgical procedures, apply casts and braces, and educate patients on mobility and injury prevention. Orthopedic nurses play a crucial role in helping patients recover from injuries, regain mobility, and improve their quality of life through specialized care and rehabilitation.Orthopedic nurses also play a role in patient assessment and monitoring. They perform detailed physical assessments to evaluate the extent of injuries or conditions, track progress during recovery, and identify any complications that may arise. Regular assessments help to ensure that treatment plans are effective and that patients are progressing toward their recovery goals.
